The Vertical Shell Tube Heat Exchanger is a high-efficiency heat exchange equipment produced by our company, belonging to the shell and tube (or tube and shell) heat exchanger series. It uses the wall of the tube bundle enclosed in the shell as the heat transfer surface to achieve the reverse flow of hot and cold fluids in the tube side (inside the tube) and the shell side (outside the tube), thereby completing the heat exchange. The vertical design gives the equipment unique advantages in space utilization and fluid flow characteristics, and is widely used in many fields such as petrochemicals, power plants, pharmaceutical industry, food processing, air conditioning and refrigeration.

Shell and tube bundle
Our Vertical Shell Tube Heat Exchanger adopts a cylindrical shell, and a tube bundle consisting of multiple straight tubes or U-shaped tubes is installed inside. The two ends of the tube bundle are fixed by tube sheets, and baffles are set between the tubes to form a shell-side fluid channel. The vertical design allows the shell to be arranged vertically, which helps the fluid to flow naturally under the action of gravity and reduce flow resistance.
Tube sheet and tube box
The tube sheet connects the tube bundle and the shell, and bears fluid pressure and thermal stress. The tube box is responsible for distributing and collecting the tube-side fluid, and some structures are removable for easy cleaning. Our tube box design focuses on the reasonable layout of fluid inlet and outlet to ensure uniform distribution of fluid.
Baffle
The baffle forces the shell-side fluid to flush the tube bundle horizontally multiple times, enhancing the turbulent effect and improving the heat transfer efficiency. In our vertical heat exchanger, the baffle adopts a circular segment, disc ring or hole design, and the optimal form is selected according to the fluid characteristics.
