Proper installation directly affects the operation safety and heat exchange performance of vertical shell and tube exchangers. The foundation, pipeline layout and space reserve need full consideration before installation.
The equipment foundation must carry the total weight of the exchanger, medium and auxiliary parts. The foundation surface should be flat and level to avoid additional stress on the shell and tube bundle. Enough vertical space needs to be reserved on the top of the equipment for tube bundle pulling out during later inspection and maintenance.
Pipelines should use independent supports. Do not let pipeline weight transfer to the exchanger nozzle. Users need to set up vent ports and drain ports at designed positions to remove air and residual liquid. Temperature and pressure measuring points shall be installed at inlet and outlet for operating data collection.

During installation, keep the equipment vertical as required. Avoid collision on nozzles and flange surfaces. After assembly, complete pressure test and leakage inspection before putting into service.
Our technical team can provide installation drawing and on-site technical support. We remind customers to follow design specification in the whole installation process. Standard installation reduces leakage risk and guarantees long service life of vertical shell and tube exchangers.
